On March 9, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse met with the chairman and members of the “Unification Future Planning Committee” and exchanged views on the operational direction of the Committee.

The meeting was attended by Chairman Kim Young-ho, heads of the subcommittee Kim Chun-sik (Politics and Military), Kim Byung-yeon (Economy), Hyun In-ae (Social and Cultural Affairs), Lee Jung-hoon (Humanitarian and Human Rights Issues), and Kim Jae-chun (International Cooperation).

Minister Kwon called for the “Unification Future Planning Committee” to play a pivotal role in developing policies for a unified future.

The chairman and members of the Committee expressed their strong sympathy for the need to prepare for a unified future and said they will exert efforts to establish the “New Future Initiative on Unification” and expand sympathy.

On March 15, the “Unification Future Planning Committee” will hold its inaugural meeting, attended by Unification Minister Kwon Youngse, and discuss issues, including the “Direction for Establishing the New Future Initiative on Unification.”
