On September 17, the Unification Ministry held a mock inter-Korean dialogue with university students as part of a program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the July 4 South–North Joint Communique.
Out of the 26 teams, six made it to the finals and debated about various areas, including politics, military, economics, and the humanitarian and social sector.
Unification Minister Kwon Youngse acknowledged that this event served as an opportunity to witness the deep desire and passion of younger generations. He highlighted that the Government plans to take more time to get to know younger generations to draw blueprints and establish unification policies to realize a denuclearized, peaceful, prosperous Korean Peninsula.
