On June 30, Minister Kwon Youngse had a meeting with the members of the Korea NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea(KNCCK)
Minister Kwon emphasized that humanitarian cooperation with North Korea requires collaboration between the public and private, and that the living conditions of North Koreans should be substantially improved through support. He also requested for advice and help drawn from the field experiences of private organizations.
Bang In-seong, Chairman of the KNCCK, explained efforts by the NKCCK to ensure transparency and credibility in humanitarian cooperation with the North, and emphasized the need for close cooperation between the private sector and the government to resume and revitalize humanitarian cooperation.
Both sides shared the view to strengthen the public-private partnership through various opportunities in the future.
