On June 28, Minister Kwon Youngse delivered remarks at the 9th Korean War Abductees Remembrance Day held at the National Memorial Hall of the Korean War Abductees.
Minister Kwon said that the government will do its best to confirm whether the abductees are alive or not and to repatriate them.
He noted that to resolve the abductee issue North Korea needs to change its stance and he also urged North Korean authorities to engage in dialogue considering the urgency of the issue.
